Summary:
Lady Alanna McNabb is bound by duty to her family, who insist she must marry a gentleman of wealth and title. When she meets the man of her dreams, she knows it's much too late, but her heart is no longer hers. Laird Iain MacGillivray is on his way to propose to another woman when he discovers Alanna half-frozen in the snow and barely alive. She isn't his to love, yet she's everything he's ever wanted. As Christmas comes closer, the snow thickens, and the magic grows stronger. Alanna and Iain must choose between desire and duty, love and obligation. But it's Christmas in the Highlands, and there are bound to be a few surprises
My thoughts:
Hello Dolls!! So this is the season for love, so get ready to fall in love with Laird Iain MacGillivray and all his charmings. This is the 3rd book in the Once Upon a Highland Season series and the 1st I read and love it, I already added to my shelf the others title.
But let’s get Frozen with this lovely story, this will make you travel to another country and picture a new landscape and teach you that your heart will always win over duty. Not matter how hard you try to convince yourself that you can love someone with the time, that’s how Lady Alanna got frozen in a “walk to think” she was trying so hard to convince her that she can do want her mom ask her to do and marry an old man with a lot of wealth and title. But Lady Alanna was kind, beautiful and shy just like Laird Iain MacGillivray who was putting duty first and was about to pop the question to his cousin ( believe you will hate her she is so into herself but through the chapters you will see that’s not her fault since she was raised to be this kind of woman).
But a strong storm and some magic bring together Alanna & Iain. This was their fate to be together and when Iain found her almost dead, he was such a gentleman and took her to a cabin to get her warm but since the only way to get someone in her stage to get back was with his body he did this and was in an awe with her beauty. You will said o no he is going to take advantage on her but he was a gentleman he wasn’t even trying.
Through the pages you will love how they get to fall in love with each other and how Alanna was the right woman for the Laird, they hot really hot scene together in which you will love more Iain and his charms as well their almost kissing and lovely scene, but I have to admit I was so worry that at the end Alanna will choose duty over her feelings and dreams because of the mean plans Iains aunt had, she was a really mean woman that all that counts for her was money, titles and how you look.
Oh I almost forget to tell you that Iain’s sisters is such a lovely young girl that believes in love so badly and wants the best for her brother and their people and for her desire and curiosity she ask the magic of this season to find true love with a spell.
Don’t wait more time and get frozen with Once Upon a Highland Christmas.
