Review: Virgins by Diana Gabaldon

My Thoughts:

Another novella to get more in love with our dear Jaime Fraser.

★★★★★★

Synopsis

A young Jamie Fraser learns what it really means to become a man in this Outlander prequel novella. Featuring all the trademark suspense, adventure, and history of Diana Gabaldon’s #1 bestselling novels and the Starz original series,Virgins is now available for the first time as a standalone ebook. Mourning the death of his father and gravely injured at the hands of the English, Jamie Fraser finds himself running with a band of mercenaries in the French countryside, where he reconnects with his old friend Ian Murray. Both are nursing wounds; both have good reason to stay out of Scotland; and both are still virgins, despite several opportunities to remedy that deplorable situation with ladies of easy virtue. But Jamie’s love life becomes infinitely more complicated—and dangerous—when fate brings the young men into the service of Dr. Hasdi, a Jewish gentleman who hires them to escort two priceless treasures to Paris. One is an old Torah; the other is the doctor’s beautiful daughter, Rebekah, destined for an arranged marriage. Both Jamie and Ian are instantly drawn to the bride-to-be—but they might be more cautious if they had any idea who they’re truly dealing with.

My Review:

Outlander definitely came to my life and my shelf to stay as one of my dearest ones. The rush with every book becomes even better with the next one and this is not an exception at all, not even 100 but just the enough ones to love more Jaime and get to know him a bit better.

I was so eager to get a copy of virgins and get to know the story behind the lashes and how he knew Ian and what happened to him when he was in France.

He just so adorable and such a gentleman even tho he’s eager to understand what happens between a woman a men, he’s really modest and he surely wasn’t into prostitutes. We came to meet Jaime’s first crush and how she used both of them to steal from them.

It was definitely hard to Jaime heal from what black Randall did to him because the lashes were here and there bleeding or sweating and crating pus. But no matter what he was that strong man that never gives up at all.

We get a bit of action and a lot of understanding on how he decided to go back to his clan and I think we get a glimpse of the woman he likes and that rectify why he was in such in an awe with Claire.

Overall, if you have read the series or you are just watching the series or probably doing both this book is going to help to get a bit more of info and see who Annalise was for Jaime. Oh and did I tell you he’s my #1 bookish boyfriend – insert emoji with heart eyes here -
