Synopsis:

Damon Atwood was Hollywood’s golden boy. Having won an Oscar at the tender age of thirteen, he had the life many could only dream about. But his success came at a price, and after a short but fruitful film career, he chose to live a life of obscurity on a remote Scottish island. Almost a decade later he’s finally ready to make his return, starting with a lead role in a musical on London’s West End. As a choreographer’s assistant, Rose Taylor has always faded into the background. She watches shows come to life from the side lines, but has never craved the attention of stardom. When rumours begin circulating of Damon’s involvement in her latest gig, she doesn’t predict how she will be thrust into the limelight, nor how the mysterious and strangely introverted man will need her to teach him how to be a star again. Rose knows that show crushes don’t last. Actors fall for each other during the intensity of a production, often losing themselves in their roles. These kinds of affairs burn bright and then they fade. The question is, should Rose let herself shine with Damon, or guard her heart from being broken after the final curtain call?

My Review:

It always amazes me how Author L.H. Cosway writes credibly and incredible stories with a lot of passion and heart – getting us readers so engaged with every single word, but even more when the author success at bringing the characters out of the pages making us fall in love with them. The brand new book of L.H. Cosway bring us a story of what happens after someone breaks your hearts but you still have faith in love, after someone has reached a safe point but has to go out there again to live, and where trust can be make it or break it deal.

For me, it was so refreshing to have a shy male character that at the same time has this dominant self, and rather than stay in the safe point they try to work together and when it was needed the time they needed. I was truly captivated with this story and we get both POV, and once again reminded why this author remains a constant on my list of favorites.

After leaving the island to be again in the spotlight in London We find Damon struggling on how to act like a normal man and interact with people - Rose is struggling with her broken heart but even when both of them are struggling with change they find something in each other that can’t be just attraction.

Rose is trying hard not to look at Damon as the hot man he is because she knows what’s to deal with an actor and Damon isn’t sure he’s capable of trusting Rose around her ex, their love has not come without a price, fighting through those issues and how they feel when they are together. But regardless of that, their bond keeps getting stronger, as they spend their days playfully getting to know and trust each other.

However, life gets in their way – a beautiful red hair with curves to kill wants Damon and she is his Co-star, Rose’s ex wants her back and is not afraid to play dirty – gossips, a past and a woman wanting to get a good man might complicate everything. Damon struggles to believe in Rose when he caught her in an awkward situation with her ex, he had never trust someone or let someone in because he’s afraid but he let Rose in and now he is doubting himself for doing it.

Rose’s battles with her own feelings and is trying to figure out if her feelings for Damon are more than just a simple love or a forever. She’s torn between helping her ex with his drug problems or be there for Damon. Obviously, it takes no time for them to figure out how fiercely they feel for each other.

But as the day comes the ones that want to put them apart draw closer. But Damon has always put the other girl aside telling her she loves Rose and he only wants her, and I love so much that about him!! While Rose finally decide to draw a line and go all for Damon.

This book left such a smile on my face, plus the author mentioned Outlander and the relation of Jaime and Claire (You guys already know I’m Obsessed with Jaime) – I’ll highly recommend this book.
