Synopsis

“He’s infuriating. A backstabber wrapped up in pretty packaging. And I know better than to unwrap that present.” From the moment Tess sees the new guy at work, she feels the pull towards him. But then he opens his mouth. And reveals himself as an arrogant jerk, intent on making her work life hell. Avoiding Damian is the safest bet, but Tess has never been one to walk away from a fight. If he wants a war, he can have one. And he should be prepared to lose. Because Tess built her real estate career to protect what’s left of her family. And no arrogant jerk is going to take it from her. No matter how good he looks in a suit. Open Home, Closed Heart is a full-length standalone sequel to the Hawaiian Heartbreak trilogy. Intended for readers over 18 due to explicit sexual content.

My Review:

Oh, I might said this one is my favorite on the Hawaiian heartbreak series. The co-worker situation was so good I was turning pages so fast and when you add a devilish hot man to the mix you’ll find me quite literally. Libby has given us a page –turner filled with love –hate relationships, friendship, misfortune and clenching moments. I was addicted to how the relationship between Tess and Damian was developing, and once it was over, I was ready to read it again.

We meet Tess as the best real estate agent with dreams to get her own company, taking care of her little sister, and dealing with losing her best friend to a Hawaiian hot dude and now with super-hot co-worker who wants to take her clients. Working around Damian isn’t easy at all when he has a bad attitude towards her. It just get worst when she’s assigned to be his mentor. Damian on his side hates Tess because when he saw her he wanted to fuck her brains out but she was the big bird who he needed to destroy to get the money he needed. Though one encounter between them changes both of their lives.

Tess has devoted her every penny to start her own company and help her sister, until one night with Damian changes all her plans and leave it numb. Avoiding Damian – because she knows this wasn’t on their plans and he was struggling by his own. Damian could be dealing with a lot but leaving Tess alone is out of his plans, he feels a deep connection and wants to be part of this new journey.

A story of hate turning into love that shift slowly into one of real love and new opportunities, this story is gonna pinch our hearts and give us that angst with look for. I’m sure you going to read it without getting tired of the story-line. I loved how Libby has given us real characters dealing with real situations.

Each book in this series is a good read, but this is the one that somehow found my weak spot.
